I loved the compilation of Alice and Betty cleaning up the mess in the house and trying to get rid of the dead body. It was the little touches like how they obsessively clean everything, especially when Betty cleans the fruit. And how it ended with Betty collapsing on her bed (I really loved that camera work!)

I appreciated that neither of them really handled it very well which made it seem more real and interesting.

Black Lightning Season 1 Episode 6: ‘Three Sevens: The Book of Thunder’ Review

I loved that opening shot of the police preparing themselves. The music that played, the tiny little moments of slow motion, it was just a genuine pleasure to watch. The soundtrack is one of the best things about this entire show and it all just gets better and better with each episode.

Archie continues to work for Hiram Lodge and we see him attend a poker game that ultimately doesn’t go well and ends with Archie getting deeper into Hiram’s world. This also spills into Veronica’s confirmation where we see Archie finally decide that he’s on Veronica’s side and he wants to keep her safe. Admittedly, it wasn’t the most interesting part of the episode but it did do a very good job of breaking up what was happening elsewhere.

I did like when Hiram defended Pop but I wonder if that’s just to save face and appear nice or because he genuinely cares for Pop. Hiram is a very interesting character but he’s still very much in the shadow and we don’t know very much about him. Hopefully, more will come to light as the season goes on and we’ll be able to see what’s really going on.

This episode primarily focused on Pickens’ day. We find out, thanks to Toni, that there are some secrets surrounding the history which leads to one of my favourite moments: the Serpents/South Side protest.

The merging of the two schools was probably one of the better things to happen this episode. It was nice to see all the different characters in the same space. It gave us much more interactions and I really enjoyed that.

Gotham Season 4 Episode 11: ‘Queen Takes Knight’ Review

Selina, Tabitha, Barbara, and Sofia entering the Iceberg lounge was a fantastic way to start off the episode. While I do think Sofia isn’t the best character, I do enjoy watching her and, if she stays alive long enough, I feel like she could grow into a better character. As for the other three, I love seeing them work together and it seems like we’re going to get more of it in the future.

Also, I loved the “yay, teamwork!” scene in which Selina and Barbara are directing Tabitha on which way to shoot. More of those, please!
