I wasn’t too far into Venom when I realised I was going to love this movie. Is it perfect? No. Is it the best superhero (/anti-hero) movie ever made? Probably not. But do you know what it is? Entertaining as hell and a good start to what I hope is more movies to follow.
I remember when I first heard that Ocean’s Eight was going to be a thing and how happy I was about it, especially when I found out that it was a spinoff. The original Ocean’s trilogy are three of my all time favourite movies and it felt much more satisfying, as a woman, to know that we were getting an all-female spinoff rather than a remake. This way it felt somewhat original while also being an extension to a really fantastic franchise. I mean, let’s be honest, one of the biggest flaws of the original trilogy was that it was very much lacking women and oh boy, does Ocean’s Eight rectify that.

You know those movies that you hear everyone talking about non-stop and you know you’ll love it but it takes you forever to get to it? For me, Set It Up is one of those. I’m not too late to the game with this one and luckily enough I avoided any type of spoiler which was great, but at the time of writing this review, the movie has been out for about a month (perhaps a little less).
From the moment I heard what Set It Up was about I knew I would watch it at some point, that it was my type of movie. I feel like people who are into romantic comedies are going to love this movie, but it can also be enjoyed by those who don’t really care and/or aren’t very sure when it comes to romantic comedies.
After seeing this movie I can safely say that is incredibly important that it isn’t spoiled by anyone. There is a lot that could be spoiled so I would be surprised if you find out everything before you get the chance to see it.

A Quiet Place is a 2018 sci-fi and horror movie about a family who has to live their life in silence to avoid being hunted by an alien presence that uses sound to track their prey. I have to say right off the bat that this is one of the best horror movies I’ve seen in a long time, and it was such a great experience to watch this in a near-silent cinema.
