Leverage: Redemption Season 2 Episode 12: ‘The Museum Makeover Job’ Review

A big aspect of this episode was to call back to 2×09: “The Pyramid Job” as references and ties to Sophie’s past come up again during this episode but with more explanation to progress things further while still leaving us on the edge for even more and it was fantastic.

Leverage: Redemption Season 2 Episode 11: ‘The Belly of the Beast Job’ Review

This episode was so good! At its core, the story was interesting and honestly, done quite well. Sure, it maybe could have gone deeper but I appreciate how it was told and handled while also keeping that comedic tone that Leverage: Redemption has (including the original).

Leverage: Redemption Season 2 Episode 10: ‘The Work Study Job’ Review

The job this week is brought to the team’s attention because of Breanna. We see both her and Sophie go to speak with Emma (Erin Ruth Walker) after her work is stolen by one of the professors at her university: Dr Daniel Gray (Rob Benedict) and from the get-go, it’s easy to sympathise with Emma and get behind her and the team as they make plans to take Gray down.

Leverage: Redemption Season 2 Episode 9: ‘The Pyramid Job’ Review

Leverage and Leverage: Redemption has always known exactly how to tug at your heartstrings but this second season has just gone above and beyond. I’ve mentioned it in most, if not all, of my reviews so far but there really is such a strong focus on character, often delving into their past as well as what they’re currently going through, while also focusing on the dynamics between them.

Going into this episode, I never would have guessed this job would have brought out such emotion. It’s a very straightforward case of dealing with a pyramid scheme at least until the mark becomes impossible to lie to. It’s an issue that requires the often-needed skill to adjust at the drop of a hat and switch the plan up in order to get the desired final result. This time around because Sophie can’t get away with lying, even just a little bit, she has to result in telling the truth.

Leverage: Redemption Season 2 Episode 8: ‘The Turkish Prisoner Job’ Review

With Leverage making a comeback, I was a little nervous going into it, especially with meeting new characters. However, I ended up really loving both Harry and Breanna from the get-go. It’s been so much fun to see them come into their own as Leverage: Redemption has progressed.

Season one was like a re-introduction to the Leverage world. It showed us what was different about this revival as well also what has carried over from the original but it also got us caught up on what the previous characters have been up to and where they currently are while simultaneously introducing us to both Harry and Breanna. It was done so well, with the two of them fitting in perfectly with the rest of the team, and so far season two has definitely allowed us to dive deeper into all of the characters.
