I admittedly don’t know where to start with this review. It feels strange writing about the final episode of such a wonderful show. During its lifespan, Killjoys has never truly disappointed. Sure, some episodes are way better than others but no episode has been bad per se. It’s been such an amazing ride with lots of emotional twists throughout that are perfectly separated with laugh-out-loud humour. There’s so much depth in everything Killjoys does and I’m so pleased we got to go on this journey with so many interesting and unique characters (who have been played by such talented people).

Killjoys Season 5 Episode 9: ‘Terraformance Anxiety’ Review

We’re reached the penultimate episode of Killjoys and I don’t know know what to do with myself. It was definitely a build up to the finale but still managed to avoid being a filler episode which was great. There was just enough action and wonderful scenes between various character to make the whole thing interesting and to get us invested but not too much to overshadow the upcoming final episode. In short, Terraformance Anxiety was really enjoyable (like the rest of season 5 so far) but waiting for the finale is intense.

Killjoys Season 5 Episode 8: ‘Don’t Stop Beweaving’ Review

This episode takes another step forward in figuring out how to take down the Lady. While they do have their successes, there are a lot of disruptions throughout. It was well paced and the overall structure of the episode was well done and easy to follow but it does have me wondering what the next two episodes are going to be like. So far, I’ve appreciated the pace that’s been set for season 5 but everything is coming to a close and I’m anxious to see how it’ll all fit in. At this point, there’s a lot of different pieces and they haven’t all come together yet.

I finished this episode a few moments ago and I’m still reeling from it. It managed to put me on the edge of my seat, make me laugh out loud, and cry. There are so many great qualities to Killjoys and this episode managed to highlight them all. In fact, this entire season has been fantastic at doing that and it’s been such a relief. This is honestly such an amazing show and it’s wonderful to see that things haven’t changed in its final season. There’s only three episodes left so I’ve got everything crossed it’ll continue and we’ll get a deserving ending.

Killjoys Season 5 Episode 6: ‘Three Mutineers’ Review

The closer we get to the end of this final season the more emotional I get. We’re more than halfway through at this point so I’m pretty confident that every review is probably going to involve me gushing over how good Killjoys is because every episode so far in season five has been satisfying to some degree. This one was no different.

Last week, the prison ship was taken over by some of the inmates, Aneela finally returned to us, and Gared was approached by Khlyen and we pick up all of those things in this episode.
