Baymax! Season 1 Review [Spoiler Free]

[Header Image: Disney+]

Right off the bat, I’m going to say that I would recommend Baymax! to most, if not all, people. It will be a particularly enjoyable experience for those of you who are already acquainted with the character Baymax who previously appeared in both the Big Hero 6 movie and tv series, however, the good thing about this new show is that you can still follow along even if you don’t know the character already.

That being said, Baymax! has six episodes in total. The first five follow Baymax as he tries to help a new person each episode and it eventually all comes together for a pretty special sixth episode although I won’t say any more about that to help you avoid spoilers. Each episode is only around 10 minutes long (give or take a minute) meaning this entire season only requires roughly an hour of your time.

Bridgerton Season 2 Review

[Header: Jonathan Bailey as Anthony Bridgerton and Simone Ashley as Kate Sharma | Netflix]

This post has potential, minor SPOILERS.

Admittedly, I wasn’t sure how much I’d like season 2 of Bridgerton going into it. This is because I never felt any particular way towards Anthony (the eldest Bridgerton sibling whom this season follows). I was, however, happy to find that I enjoyed this season quite a bit and honestly, I probably enjoyed it as equally as the first.

Here’s the thing with Bridgerton. It’s not going to be for everyone and I would argue is not the kind of show you go into for anything other than a good time. While it does have deeper and more emotional scenes and storylines — Anthony’s past surrounding his father is a particularly good example of this — it can also be a little silly and over the top at times.

Clarice Season 1 Review [Spoiler Free]

[Header Image: Rebecca Breeds as Clarice Starling | CBS]

The first season of Clarice is a promising start. It manages to use what has been set up by 1991 The Silence of the Lambs movie while also doing its own thing which helps it to fit in with this universe without feeling repetitive. At no point does it feel like the movie is being erased or completely rewritten which makes this show even more enjoyable.

Good Girls | 4×11 – 4×16 Mini Reviews

[Header Image: Mae Whitman as Annie Marks, Christina Hendricks as Beth Boland, and Retta as Ruby Hill | NBC]

Unfortunately, in mid-late 2021, this blog had to be put on the back burner and I was unable to finish writing my reviews for Good Girls.

Considering it’s by far one of my favourite shows of all time and it was sadly cancelled after 4 seasons, I figured I would compose the reviews for the last 6 episodes into one post as mini-reviews so that I can still get some of my thoughts out there for a show I have a lot of love and appreciation for.

Good Girls Season 4 Episode 10: ‘Strong Hearts Strong Sales’ Review

[Header Image: Christina Hendricks as Beth Boland, Mae Whitman as Annie Marks, and Retta as Ruby Hill | NBC]

This episode opens with Dean going about his day only to stumble upon Beth meeting with Rio in the back room of Paper Porcupine to discuss their latest business venture. Something I’ll say about this trio is that there aren’t nearly enough scenes of them together. Every time they have interacted — no matter how brief — have allowed for some pretty interesting and fun scenes. Still, this moment results in a reaction from Dean that isn’t as loud or as angry as he’s previously has been in regards to Rio (and his connection with Beth).
